Russia and Pakistan hold their first Joint-Military Exercise

- Russia and Pakistan agreed to hold their first joint military exercise which is the part of their defence cooperation.
- For this an agreement was signed between Defence Minister of Russia Sergei Shoigu and his Pakistani counterpart Khawaja Asif in Moscow during a meeting.
As per the agreement, both nations will strive:
- To enhance their cooperation in military training and defence industry
- To promote together the participation in military exercises.
- To Increase cooperation in military training and import of equipments and arms.
- Resolution of conflicts through diplomatic means rather than force.
Apart from this, Russia and Pakistan have reached a consensus to a multi-polar world which ensures balance, peace and harmony in international relations.
The two nations in 2014 had signed a military cooperation agreement to strengthen their ties in defence. They signed the agreement when the Russian Defence Minister visited Pakistan in November 2014. This was the first ever visit of Russian Minister in 45 years.
